I admitedly have a lot to learn when it comes to this topic but thanks to some savy fellow web monkeys I am getting a good start. Hooray for CMS and how its come along.
- Wordpress
WordPress is a state-of-the-art publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability. WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.
- Drupal
Drupal.org is the official website of Drupal, an open source content management platform. Equipped with a powerful blend of features, Drupal supports a variety of websites ranging from personal weblogs to large community-driven websites.

Modules that I recommend be installed.
- Admin Menu - Great to help you manage your website. A must have.
- Path Auto - The Pathauto module automatically generates path aliases for various kinds of content (nodes, categories, users) without requiring the user to manually specify the path alias.
- Mollum - A great antispam module.
- Webform - Great for setting up expanded forms on your drupal website.
- Token - The Token module provides a central API for modules to use these tokens, and expose their own token values
- NodeWords (Meta Tags) - This project allows you to set some meta tags for each Drupal page.
- Joomla
Joomla! is one of the most powerful Open Source Content Management Systems on the planet. It is used all over the world for everything from simple websites to complex corporate applications. Joomla! is easy to install, simple to manage, and reliable.
